Description

Stamp featuring Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1859-1930) and a scene from "The Adventure of the Empty House" issued by Turks & Caicos, 1984. Scott catalog no. 629-633. Dr. Doyle closed his ophthalmology practice and in November 1887 published a novel, "A Study in Scarlet," introducing the character of Sherlock Holmes.
